LOW ROPES CHALLENGES
Our 6th grade buddies and 8th grade mentors were challenged to complete tasks that required a team. Each challenge provided a unique opportunity to rely on each other to complete the task. We talked about how sometimes it's hard to work in a group because others might not listen to your ideas. It can also be hard when group members go off on their own to try to accomplish the task. We reflected on how important it is to trust each other, listen to each other's ideas, and be open to new ideas. Favorite student quote, "What's good for you isn't always good for the group." The adults noticed several different students emerge as leaders today that previously did not shine as a leader. Special thanks to Mr. Chrzanowski from the International Academy for leading our group.
